The 2020 NC Dairy Winter Management Series will consist of three monthly webinars from October through December. Each webinar will be recorded so that producers who cannot join during the live session can access the information at another time at Ag & Resource Economics’ Dairy page.

The first session was held October 14, 2020, beginning at 1 p.m.. DMC and Dairy-RP were the focal topics for the October session, and speakers were Rodney Young, Jr. (Ag Program Specialist, NC FSA State Office) and Christine Brodeur (Dairy Price Risk Administrator, DFA Risk Management). Slide decks from both presenters and a recording of the webinar are available.

The second session will be November 18, 2020, beginning at 12 p.m.. Phil Plourd, President of Blimling and Associates, will discuss rapidly changing consumer preferences and make suggestions on how the dairy supply chain might respond.

The third session will be December 9, 2020, beginning at 12 p.m.. Topics discussed will include processing innovation, trade and policy implications.
