NC AgVentures Grant Applications Will Be Available Nov. 1 2016

— Written By

NC AgVentures is a program of N.C. Cooperative Extension. The primary goal  is to strengthen agriculturally dependent families and communities by providing support and funding to NC farm operators, who have innovative plans to diversify, expand, or implement new entrepreneurial plans in their operations or communities.

The term innovation is often associated with with artists and designers, but farmers have their own style of innovation. Farmers are resourceful! An innovative grant project could involve using a resource in a new way, or experimenting with an unusual solution to resolve an old problem. Re-purposing old tools and equipment, or adapting new technology to reduce labor or expand production are other innovative ideas for enhancing your farm operation.
